Students struggling in their classes now have another option for extra help with FM’s online tutoring program.
The program, called eTutoring, is being introduced as a way of assisting students pursuing online degrees, as well as those unwilling or unable to participate in face-to-face tutoring on campus. Individuals can get answers to questions in a wide range of topics including math, biology, writing, accounting and statistics.
Students can access the site by going to etutoring.org or by following the link on Angel. There is no charge for use of the service as students have already paid for it, according to Ellie Fosmire, Coordinator of the Student Learning Center.
“People pay for the tutors with tuition money, so they should definitely take advantage of it,” Fosmire said.
Students interested in eTutoring can view a tutorial on how to use the platform on Angel.
Colleen Sanders, Coordinator of the Writing Center, recommends the site to all students, not just those struggling. “I think it’s a great service,” Sanders said, adding “Everyone should put their papers in it.”
