Developing good work habits and creating ways to effectively study is vital to FMCC students and has been a theme for students on every academic level, from middle school to college.
Colleen Sanders speaks on how FMCC accommodates this need for its students. FM has several programs on campus that all serve this specific purpose, including the Math Lab and Trio Labs also located in Building L, the Nursing program and groups created by FM students to help other students.
Colleen Sanders helps students with their work and focuses on writing assignments in the Writing Center of the Library in Building L.
When asked on what she finds is the best way or system to study and develop good work habits, Colleen responded, “Developing study skills, how to model read critically and the use of note-cards.”
The Writing Center is open to students on Monday-Thursday at 8:30AM-6:00PM but closes on Friday’s three hours earlier, at 3:00PM.
