The Capital Region has a lot of things to do in the month of March when most colleges are on Spring Break. The region’s Metroland magazine has a full list of events and places to go around the area.
One of the many things to do around the capital region is in Lake George at the Great Escape Indoor Water Park. The park offers a variety of attractions of fun and exciting things for you to do while you’re there. There are over 38,000 square-feet of wet and wild rides for you to go on like Avalanche, the twist, turning four-person raft ride that makes you actually think you are on a white water rafting adventure. You can purchase a full day pass for $39.99 each or a Twilight Day pass for $29.99 each.
If you’re looking to get dressed up and go on the town I would suggest Saratoga. Saratoga has an endless amount of nightclubs and fun to do. For instance, there is Saratoga Paint and Sip that you can bring out the inner artist in you.
The SCAC Art Center Gallery in Saratoga is having a color/form event that started on February 8 and is going to March 29. The event is being held on Broadway in Saratoga. Anybody is welcomed to attend the artist discussions and opening receptions. Another event that you might enjoy is the play Happy Days in the Cocoon Theatre located on Mill St. on Route 9. Showtimes are Fri.- Sat. at 8 pm and Sunday’s at 3 pm through March 23. The price of a ticket is $25. So as you can see there is a ton of things to do in the capital region that doesn’t involve much traveling or expense. You just have to find what you are in the mood for and just do it.
